The HK Octopus Card Balance Retrieval app has been serving customers since 2011, making it the first of its kind. This app is specifically designed for Android phones with NFC capabilities.

After a decade of your support, we have revamped the app to cater to modern Android versions and deliver an enhanced user experience. One notable feature is the ability to retrieve card balances offline.

It is important to note that this app has a read-only capability and does not make any modifications to your card's data.

We appreciate your continued support! Please be aware that even after uninstalling the app, the system may emit sounds to indicate that no suitable app is available for reading your card.

Due to Android NFC hardware constraints, the old version Octopus card cannot be read. The card ID of the older version only contains 8 digits without brackets.

Important Notice:

1. No cracking or illegal activities were involved in the development process. All reading features strictly adhere to the mechanisms provided by the card system.
2. The Google Nexus S and Samsung Galaxy Nexus are the only two devices with NFC hardware available for purchase in Hong Kong.

5. Sony Xperia S (reported by users)

Please note that the Galaxy S2 HK version does not have NFC capabilities.
